Mission & objectives

The mission of the Clinical Ethics Society of Australasia (CESA) is to advance and promote clinical ethics and support the integration of clinical ethics services into health care systems for the benefit of the community.

CESA seeks to:

  • create a collaborative and inclusive community of practice in clinical ethics

  • educate health practitioners, students, trainees, and patients about clinical ethics and its roles in health care

  • support health services in establishing clinical ethics services and their quality improvement

  • support research and teaching in clinical ethics

  • promote public understanding of clinical ethics

  • increase patient, family and carer access to clinical ethics support.

The Clinical Ethics Society of Australasia is registered as an incorporated association in New South Wales under the Associations Incorporation Act 2009. Registration Number INC2400138. Date of Incorporation 22 March 2024.
